FOR SALE

Updated July 23, 2010

From time to time, we will have shop sample guns, prototypes, parts and other items for sale. All are in excellent condition unless otherwise noted. All are available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that we are always willing to entertain trades—please see our WANTED section.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -- PLEASE READ

Except as otherwise noted, all guns sold in the 'For Sale' section are built to the same exacting standards as bespoke guns ordered through our catalog of services. Modifications performed on these guns are described in detail at our on-line Catalog section. Sales of these guns are governed by the terms, conditions and limitations spelled out at our on-line CATALOG, TERMS, IMPORTANT INFO, CONTACT US sections and the downloadable order form. Feel free to get in touch with any questions. bcacorp@nxs.net

Before committing to the purchase of firearms listed for sale here, please make certain that your state will allow their importation. Some states, particularly California, Massachusetts and, perhaps, New York, may not allow the production of or purchase of custom guns from out of state or guns of certain vintages which may not meet state-imposed 'safety' and design mandates. It is imperative that you consult with your local authorities in hostile jurisdictions before order or purchase. In any case, firearms can be shipped only to an FFL holder. Bear in mind that there may be local charges in the form of NICS fees, state and local sales taxes and dealer transfer fees.

Please note also that we're currently very interested in purchasing or taking certain guns in trade: Stainless std. Redhawk, a .44 Super Redhawk, blue and stainless adj.-sight Bisleys, .44 Flat Tops and .38/44 HD S&Ws. We also need N-frame target-style barrels, blue or stainless in .41, .44 and .45 cal. 6in. or longer lengths. Now is a good time to dispose of surplus guns. Keep an eye on this section for some fantastic guns. (also see our short list below) As guns are completed, we'll post photos of them unless already sold.

Ruger Single-Six .327 w/Smith & Wesson Barrel: One of our very favorite trail and companion guns, this gun is built along the lines of our RS06 caliber conversion with a long list of options. Foremost is the K22 barrel rebored to .32 and shortened to 4 in. for general handiness. The round, ribbed barrel with is grooving and integral sight base is unique and distinctive. Also fitted with it is a steel ejector housing. The other major metalwork option is the XR3 steel grip frame from a New Model Flat Top with is in keeping with the overall quality of this gun. Factory black, hard-rubber grips looks espcially nice against the coloring provided by Turnbull Restorations. The gun is tuned, fitted with an oversize locking base pin, our Rough Country heavy-duty rear sight and sights regulated. The traditional black powder cylinder chamfer rounds out the work. The .327 is the finest new revolver cartridge to come down the pike since the .44 Magnum and is at home in the small Ruger single-action receiver. No need to go to a larger, heavier platform. Price is $2595; estimated delivery Fall of 2010.

Ruger .44 Special New Model Flat Top: One of the non-catalog Lipsey's guns with a 5 1/2 in. barrel. Gun came in on trade and is unfired and near-NIB though it does reflect some minor handling marks and a slight drag line on the cylinder. Still a very nice gun and hard to find. Complete with papers, lock, fired bullet, etc. Ready for immediate delivery @ $495 PPD via USPS to your FFL.

Also happy to have an M96/44 in trade.

Stainless .500 Linebaugh Ruger Bisley w/Smith & Wesson Barrel: One of our favorite big-bore hunting revolvers done up in rather nicer style than usual. This stainless Bisley features the basic mechanical modifications outlined on the cat. no. RS07 'Long Hunter' package but adds a rebored Smith & Wesson barrel. For some additional refinement, the cylinder is fluted and the traditional black powder cylinder chamfer applied. Hard to imagine a more business-like but handsome revolver. The barrel is 5 1/2 inches and is fitted with a white-line front sight blade for best sighting performance. Fitted with factory grips, the grip frame is decked/machined for best fit of any custom grips applied in the future. We built this gun some years ago and while used, the owner advise he test-fired it and shot it very little thereafter. Condition is like new. Price is $3295; available for immediate delivery.

.32-20 Old Model Ruger Blackhawk:
One of our favorite walking around guns in a great old caliber. Built to the specs outlined in our cat. no. RS06 Caliber Conversion, this example sports a 5 1/2 in. barrel with our house serrated-ramp front sight and a steel ejector housing for improved appearance. Gun is tuned, sighted and fitted with both our target-style rear sight and an oversize locking base pin. Befitting a traditional revolver, the cylinder receives the black powder cylinder chamfer. The aluminum grip frame is refitted and recoated in CeraKoat for best appearance. While the new .327 Fed. Mag. has stolen some of its thunder, the .32-20 remains are great small-game and varmint round. Unlike the .327, all manner of cool guns are chambered for the .32-20 so this revolver makes a great companion piece to Winchester, Browning and Marlin lever guns. Price is $1895; available for immediate delivery.

.44 Special  Old Model Ruger Blackhawk:
A perennial house favorite and still one of the most enjoyable classic custom revolvers available.  Built along the lines of our cat. no. RS05 caliber conversion, this gun sports a 4 5/8 in. barrel fitted with our house custom serrated-ramp front sight and a steel ejector housing. Gun is tuned, sighted and fitted with both our target-style rear sight and an oversize locking base pin. The black powder cylinder chamfer adds a bit of refinement. The aluminum grip frame is refitted and refinished in CeraKote, a milspec coating that quite closely resembles the original factory anodizing. Turnsbull Restorations supplied the color case hardening; balance of the metal work reblued. Price is $1795 with estimated delivery date late Spring or early Summer of 2010.

A 'Thanks' to all who over the years have responed to this list. Many of the guns we've bought or taken in trade and been rebuilt and sold. Many more are in the research 'library' and have given their all in the interests of science. Still others will occasionally figure in magazine articles and writing projects. For other items we're interested in, please see the full listing at the 'Wanted' subsection of the NEWS section.
Many thanks again,
Hamilton S. Bowen
